This policy applies to all donations made to MakersBox Foundation (CIN: U80100DL2019NPL354930) through www.makersboxfoundation.org via the Razorpay payment gateway.
Please read carefully before donating. By completing a payment, you confirm that you have read and agreed to this policy.
1. General Policy
Donations made to MakersBox Foundation are voluntary contributions that are deployed quickly toward running our Learning Nooks. As a general principle, all completed donations are non-refundable. However, we review requests case-by-case for genuine errors.
2. Circumstances Where a Refund May Be Considered
- Duplicate transaction: The same donation was charged more than once due to a technical error.
- Incorrect amount: A materially incorrect amount was charged due to a payment gateway fault.
- Unauthorised transaction: The donation was made without your knowledge or authorisation.
- Confirmed Razorpay error: Razorpay acknowledges a technical error on their end.
3. How to Request a Refund
Contact us within 7 days of the transaction date:
- Email: care@makersboxfoundation.org
- Subject line: “Refund Request – [Your Name] – [Transaction Date]”
- Include: Full name, email address used for the donation, Razorpay Payment ID, amount charged, and reason for the request.
We acknowledge all requests within 3 business days and provide a resolution within 10 business days.
4. Refund Processing
Approved refunds are credited to the original payment method (card, UPI, bank account). Processing typically takes 5–10 business days depending on your bank or payment provider. Non-recoverable gateway transaction fees charged by Razorpay may be deducted where applicable.
5. Recurring Donations
To cancel a recurring donation mandate, email us at care@makersboxfoundation.org or cancel directly via Razorpay’s donor portal. Already-processed donation amounts are non-refundable unless they meet the criteria in Section 2.
6. What Is Not Covered
- Change of mind after a completed donation.
- Donations that have already been deployed toward programme expenses.
- Requests submitted more than 7 days after the transaction date.
- Requests that do not include the Razorpay Payment ID.
7. Contact
This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in New Delhi.
